Global responsibility
As part of the oil and gas economy, Morrissey Oil uses all possible means to cater for consumer demand for energy and energy services; in doing so it contributes to the growth of the economy and considers climate protection in the scope of corporate decisions.
The contribution that we can make to climate change comprises three areas: improving product and production related energy efficiency, provision of energy sources with low carbon content and accelerating technological innovations.
The future market of renewable energies
At the 2007 Spring Summit the EU decided on binding targets for climate protection. By 2020 CO2 emissions are to be reduced by 20 percent. Additionally, for the future a binding target was established in which 20% of overall energy consumption in the EU should be from renewable energy sources.
